Millwall’s captain, Nigerian international, Danny Shittu was disappointed that the FA Cup run had ended with yesterday’s 2-0 defeat against Wigan Athletic, but knew where his priorities lay. ”Staying up,” he said. ”We’ve got two games in hand. All we’ve got to do is get a couple of wins and we’ll be safe, so we can’t be too despondent about what happened today. We’ve just got to look forward to Tuesday and try and get the wins.”

He has long term ambitions for both himself and his club too. ”I believe that for me personally Millwall’s a club that’s good enough,” he said. ”We’re unfortunate not to be fighting for promotion this season, but I’ve spoken to the owners. I’ve spoken to the manager and this season we secure our place in this championship and next season push on.”
